LinkedIn Sandbags Estimates, Shares Tumble
NEW YORK (TheStreet) – LinkedIn, the hugely popular career website, took a page out of the Apple playbook: guide really low, anger some analysts and then surprise big on the upside. LinkedIn was falling as much as 11% in after-hours trading on thursday as the company forecast second-quarter sales and earnings that fell short of analyst estimates. Best Buy Drops as Samsung Delays S4 (Update 2)
(Updated from 3:53 p.m. EDT with more views from analyst) NEW YORK (TheStreet) — Sprint fell in New York as the mobile-phone operator and peer T-Mobile said they must delay the introduction of Samsung’s Galaxy S4 due to inventory challenges at the Korean electronics manufacturer. Samsung in a statement said that “due to overwhelming global demand of Galaxy S4, the initial supply may be limited.” The company said it expected to fulfill inventory to meet demands in the coming weeks.
