Indian regulator fines Reliance unit $2 million for insider trading
MUMBAI (Reuters) – India’s stock market regulator has fined a unit of energy conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd 110 million rupees (1 million pounds) over a 2007 insider trading case. The company, Reliance Petroinvestments Ltd, has 45 days to pay the fine, the Securities Exchange Board of India said in its ruling published late on Thursday. Continue reading
Hexaware Tech up 2.35 pct after March qtr earnings
MUMBAI (Reuters) – Shares in Hexaware Technologies rose in early trades on Monday after the software firm posted January-March earnings that beat analyst estimates, dealers said. Net profit was at 792.8 million rupees in the quarter that ended March 31, and earnings per share for the period was 2.64 rupees, the company said in a regulatory filing.
